Site navigation

home > Site navigation

We have endeavoured to make navigation through this site as easy as possible. The site's primary sections are listed first (at the left hand side of a graphical browser), and the secondary sections are listed next (at the top right corner of a graphical browser). The Scottish Law Commission logo at the top left of the browser window doubles as a link back to the home page.

‘Skip navigation’ link

If you are using a text browser like Wanna-Be, you will see a skip navigation link at the top of each page. Selecting this link will take you to the main page content.

Tabbed browsing

If you need to navigate the site without the aid of a mouse, links can be selected using the tab key; however, not all browsers support this feature.

By pressing the tab key, the user can cycle through the navigation links on a page, followed by a page's individual links. Pressing shift and tab together reverses the order in which the links are selected.

Accesskeys

In order to aid navigation of this site, we have included accesskeys as quick links to the main sections. They are as follows:

Not all browsers support accesskeys. Internet Explorer can use accesskeys on both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

On Windows, press the alt key and the relevant accesskey together to highlight the desired link, then press enter to jump to that page.

On Macintosh, press the control key and the relevant accesskey together to jump to the desired page.
