Scottish Parliament passes Succession Bill

We are delighted that the Succession (Scotland) Bill has been passed by the Scottish Parliament.  It is the second Bill to be considered by the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee under a new procedure for Scottish Law Commission Bills.  It is based on recommendations made in the SLC’s Report on Succession (SLC No 215), published in 2009.  The Bill, and its accompanying documents, can be seen on the Parliament’s website here: http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/parliamentarybusiness/Bills/90123.aspx
