Report on Damages for Personal Injury to be implemented

The Scottish Law Commission welcomes the announcement made by the Minister for Community Care during the Members' Business Debate marking Action Mesothelioma Day 2026 in the Scottish Parliament yesterday, confirming that a Bill will be introduced in Year 1 of the Parliament to implement the Commission's recommendations on damages for personal injury, as set out in the Report on Damages for Personal Injury (No. 266).

The Commission looks forward to the introduction of the Bill.
