Correspondence on the progress of implementation

The Scottish Parliament website contains a list of correspondence between the Convener of the Justice Committee of the Scottish Parliament and the Cabinet Secretary for Justice on the progress of implementation of Scottish Law Commission reports.

The Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice agreed to write annually to the Chair of the Scottish Law Commission, providing a report on progress by the UK Government in implementing Commission recommendations in reserved areas of Scots law.  This includes recommendations in our joint law reform projects with the Law Commission for England and Wales.

The first such report covers the period to November 2012.

The second such report covers the period to 25 January 2013.

The third such report covers the period to 11 January 2014.  Attached is a response from the Chairman of the Commission, dated 15 May 2014.

The fourth such report is dated 12 March 2015.

The fifth such report is dated 11 January 2017.

The sixth such report is dated 27 July 2018.

The seventh such report is dated 19 July 2023.  Attached is a response from the Chair of the Commission.
