The Commission welcomes a new procedure in the Scottish Parliament to consider certain Commission Bills

Lady Clark of Calton, Chairman of the Scottish Law Commission, welcomes a decision by the Scottish Parliament to provide more Parliamentary time to consider and implement Commission Bills.  The Parliament decided on 28 May 2013 to accept recommendations for changes to the Standing Orders to allow certain Commission Bills to be referred to the Subordinate Legislation Committee; and to re-name the Committee the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee.  See news release.
